Fresh Tortilla Chips

Hot fresh corn tortilla chips straight from the oven. Chips are seasoned lightly with fresh lime juice, vegetable oil, ground cumin and chili powder. Perfect chip for dipping in your favorite guacamole.
Ingredients -
 
1 (12 ounce) package Corn Tortillas
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
3 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice
1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
1 teaspoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
 
Preparation:
 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Cut corn tortillas into 4, 6, or 8 wedges.

3. Place chips in single layer on cookie sheet.

4. Combine vegetable oil and lime juice in mister. Shake to mix.

5. Spray chips.

6. In a small bowl, combine cumin and chili powder.

7. Sprinkle seasoning mix on chips

8. Bake 15 minutes. Rotate cookie sheet halfway through cooking time.

Deep Fryer
Alternately you could deep fry the corn tortilla wedges and while still warm, spray with the mister and season with cumin and chili powder.

Cooking Tip

Corn Tortilla
Substitute flour tortillas for a different flavor and texture. The flour tortillas will require less time in the oven to finish baking.
