Cooking Tip

Garlic

Fresh garlic is available in most supermarkets. One bulb of garlic generally contains 10 to 12 cloves of garlic. The compact bulb is surrounded by a papery skin that holds protects them from sunlight and air. Whole, minced, and roasted garlic can now be found in most large food chains in the produce section.

Cooking Tip

Cayenne Pepper

Ground Cayenne pepper is a powder that comes from dried cayenne peppers. The peppers are dried and ground, before being baked to remove moisture and then sifted before being packaged for purchase. Ground cayenne pepper packs a good amount of heat, so it is wise to taste as you add to avoid overwhelming diners.
