Cooking Tip

Avocado Nutrition

Once an avocado has been cut open and exposed to air, the green and yellow flesh is subject to enzymatic browning and the surface will quickly turn brown. Use immediately or squeeze some citrus juice such as lime or lemon on the flesh to prevent the browning.

Cooking Tip

How to Cut and Peel an Avocado
From top to bottom, slice the avocado, and twist slightly. With the pit remaining on one side, slightly tap a large knife into the pit, give a quick twist and it will pop right out. Scoop avocado out of peel with a spoon.
