Classic guacamole has a perfect blend of color,
texture and flavor. A nice foundation of avocado enhanced with garlic,
onion and cilantro, and seasoned with peppers, chili powder, salt
and cumin. Classic guacamole is great as a side dish and perfect for
dipping chips and vegetables.
Ingredients -
4 Hass Avocados, peeled and pitted
2 Lemons, juiced
2 cloves Garlic, peeled and minced
1 Tomato, diced
1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup Red Onion, diced
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin
5 Jalapeno Chiles or Serrano Chiles, stems removed; seeded and minced
Salt and Chili Powder, to taste
Preparation:
Place avocados in a large bowl and mash them. Add lemon juice and mix well.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes and serve with tortilla chips.
